Survey Checks America’s Pie Preference: What Will Make the Cut?

Pillsbury did a survey asking, "What pie is your favorite for Thanksgiving Day?"

I assumed that pumpkin would be No. 1 on the list, but I was wrong.

No. 1 was apple pie with 32%

No. 2 -- pumpkin pie 23%

No. 3 -- chicken pot pie 22%

No. 4 -- pecan pie 16%

No. 5 -- sweet potato pie 7%

My favorite is pumpkin -- plus one that did NOT make the list: banana cream pie. Banana cream was my dad's favorite pie. We'll be making one in honor of him this Thanksgiving.
