Miley Cyrus is the latest superstar to get hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit, and it's a big one. Jamaican singer and songwriter Michael May is suing the pop star for $300 million, claiming her 2013 hit "We Can't Stop" is a little too close to his 1988 track, "We Run Things."

The artist, who performs as Flourgon, alleges Cyrus' lyrics “We run things / Things don’t run we” were taken from his lyrics “We run things / Things no run we,” adding that she “substantially incorporated” his “vocal melody/rhythm/cadence/inflection.”

“May was the first to construct such a sequence using the phrase “'We run things. Things no run we’ and was the first musical artist to convey this unique, creative and original lyrical phrase/sequence into musical arrangement,” May’s lawyers argue in legal documents.

Aside from the large amount of money he's asking The Voice coach to cough up, May is also seeking a trial by jury and wants to prohibit Cyrus from profiting further from the song.

Listen to both songs below and see if you think Miley's "We Can't Stop" truly sounds like it's ripping of Flourgon's "We Run Things."
