And just like that, Master P and Tiny's Global Mixed Gender Basketball League (GMGB) has hit the ground running. Last Wednesday (Sept. 23), the first game of the league's inaugural season kicked off with a matchup between the New Orleans Gators, a squad owned by P, and the Atlanta Heirs which is owned by Tiny Harris.

The groundbreaking game, which, once again, featured both me and women, took place in front of a packed arena filled with enthusiastic spectators. Taking part in the contest were ballers like former NBA star and current Chinese National Basketball Association player Carlos Boozer, WNBA legend Lisa Leslie, Atlanta Dream star Angel McCoughtry, former Sacramento King Caron Butler, former UNLV stars Dylan and Dakota Gonzalez ( The Gonzalez Twins), the Chicago Sky's Cappie Pondexter, former Phoenix Suns forward Stromile Swift, former Memphis Grizzlies starter Tyrus Thomas, Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner and former Los Angeles Laker, Metta World Peace.

In footage from the game we can see that it was more than simply a contest. There was dancing and plenty of laughs. Watching the game go down, you can see why Mr. Miller made no secret of his belief in the league. For his part, World Peace gives Master P and Tiny's new co-ed league a strong endorsement.

“Tonight was groundbreaking, a real game changer," he says. "I can’t wait until basketball fans all over the world can experience this up close and personal or through television. These women really can play. And Master P knows firsthand basketball and entertainment."
