Mariah Carey has been entertaining audiences for nearly three decades. But it looks like the pop superstar’s vocal abilities have influenced someone close to her heart.

During her Chicago stop of her “All the Hits” tour with Lionel Richie, Mimi surprised the crowd by bringing out a special performer, her daughter Monroe, for a rendition of “Always Be My Baby.” The adorable mother and daughter moment was greeted with applause by the audience.

The clip above will certainly warm your hearts. “#AlwaysBeMyBaby,” Mariah wrote in the caption along with the hashtag #RoeRoe her nickname for Monroe. It looks like the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree. Mariah could possibly be grooming her daughter for a singing career.

Meanwhile, Mariah is making some noise with her vocal assists on French Montana's remix to his chart-topping hit, "Unforgettable." The R&B mom said the remix was all in good fun.

"French and the label really wanted to cut it and for it to happen," she told Billboard. "I love French. We were in the studio just playing around and not really doing much. Then, we started with the whole 'Unforgettable' thing. I love doing stuff like that. I love remixes. Not too many people do enough remixes anymore."

As for what's next for the singer, Mariah revealed that she has a new song coming out just in time for the holiday season.

"I have some things coming up for Christmas, shockingly, but I love Christmas," she said. "We're doing this song called "The Star." It's a movie called The Star with Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.
