Another small store robbery happened Thursday adding to a rash of robberies reported so far this month. Yakima Police say they arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the robbery of the Roadrunner mini-mart at 1820 South 3rd Avenue.

Police say the suspect was armed with a gun when he walked into the store at about 2:50 p.m. Thursday. The suspect grabbed the cash and fled in a vehicle. Video from the store helped police identify the suspect vehicle. And on Thursday police found the vehicle near a home in the 600 block of North 5th Avenue. Shortly after finding the vehicle authorities found an arrested the 35-year-old suspect in a nearby home.

The man is being held in the Yakima county jail on a charge of armed robbery.

So far 8 robberies have been reported this month.
