It's Children's Miracle Network week around here, leading up to Friday's annual 12-hour radiothon on News Talk KIT, 1280 AM. Meantime, we're telling the stories of some of the local kids who've benefited from your donations and CMN's compassion in recent years.

Kids like Izzy, for example.

Izzy's an active 12-year-old who doesn't let arthrogryposis -- a congenital condition that causes joint contractures that significantly limit movement -- stop her from being a top student who's in band and rides horses.

We'll be talking with Izzy during Friday's radiothon between 3 and 4 p.m. Watch the video above to hear her recent interview with KIT's Dave Ettl.

And be sure to listen in (and, we hope, donate) during Friday's 6 a.m.-to-6 p.m. radiothon.
