There is an alarming video "challenge" that is spreading across YouTube again and is extremely dangerous for your kids.

The Salt And Ice Challenge is where a person pours table salt on a body part (such as an arm or leg) and then pours snow or ice over the salt. Participants aim to see who can tolerate the frostbite pain for the longest amount of time. The frostbite occurs due to the the chemical reaction of the salt and water elements.

Doing the Salt and Ice Challenge can cause severe second- and third- degree skin burns just like the ones recently experienced by an 11-year-old girl and a 15-year old teenager in Iowa.

Please do not let children (or adults) do the Salt and Ice Challenge!
