So, you remember how Diddy claimed he was changing his name just yesterday? Well, it turns out he was just joking, and he won't be going by the name of Brother Love any time soon. He revealed as much in a new Instagram video.

“I was only joking,” the Bad Boy founder reveals. "It was just part of one of my alter egos. One of my alter egos is Love." While Diddy had previously said he wouldn't respond to any of his previous rap names, he softened that stance considerably. "You can address me by any of my older names. But if you still wanna call me Love, you can call me Love, baby. But I was only playing’," he says in the vid.

In other Diddy news, the rapper/producer/mogul very recently took home a trophy at the 2017 Hollywood Film Awards. The film that won him the Hollywood Documentary Award is called Can't Stop Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story, and it's an Apple Music doc chronicling Puffy's rise from Uptown Records A&R to world-class businessman and tastemaker. Puffy appreciates his latest accolade.

"This is truly an honor to be on this stage and with such great company," he began in his speech. "I just want to say congratulations to all the honorees. I'm from Harlem, New York, so this is truly... we have a saying, 'From Harlem to Hollywood,' and I guess I have arrived and it feels good."

Whether he goes by Sean Combs, Puff Daddy, Diddy or Brother Love, Mr. Combs stays winning. Check out his name change PSA below.
