Diddy Earns a Trophy for ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ at 2017 Hollywood Film Awards
Although he's been giving the world tons of entertainment for nearly three decades, it's not as often that we see Diddy win an award anymore. The 2017 Hollywood Film Awards took place last night (Nov. 5), where the hip-hop mogul accepted the Hollywood Documentary Award for his Can't Stop Won't Stop movie.
The documentary, which covered the story of Diddy's Bad Boy label, as well as the epic Bad Boy Reunion Tour last year, hit No. 1 on iTunes' documentary charts in multiple countries all over the globe following its release. Diddy gave a brief, but grateful acceptance speech while receiving the award, thanking those involved in the film, such as Live Nation's Heather Parry and his mentor Andre Harrell, as well as his six children.
"This is truly an honor to be on this stage and with such great company," he begins his speech. "I just want to say congratulations to all the honorees. I'm from Harlem, New York, so this is truly... we have a saying, 'From Harlem to Hollywood,' and I guess I have arrived and it feels good."
If you recall, Can't Stop Won't Stop first began its run at the Tribeca Film Festival this past year in April, and then was released exclusively to Apple Music on June 25.
Congratulations to Diddy on the major film award and another huge accomplishment.
