Can you imagine "Mo Money Mo Problems" without Ma$e? No, right? Well, according to Diddy's former bodyguard Gene Deal, you would have had to if it were up to The Notorious B.I.G. Continuing his 'Raw Deal' The Last B.I.G. Night series on Mreck TV, Deal reveals that Big wasn't that big of a Ma$e fan; he actually thought the rapper's fellow Harlemite and Children of the Corn member, Cam'ron was better.

This somewhat shocking revelation arrives as Deal remembers Biggie showing him some sort of contract for what appears to have been his record label. That's when things get really interesting.

"So he showed me a contract, and I think at the time the contract was either for 62 or 6.2 million dollars. It had Junior Mafia, Lil Kim, The Commission, I think Tracy Murray—or Tracy something like Murray—and Cam'ron," Deal explains. "He start telling me about Cam'ron, he said 'Yo, Cam'ron...' He felt like Cam'ron was the best rapper from Harlem, you understand? He—nigga loved Cam'ron. He said he didn't like Ma$e."

"Didn't like" feels a bit strong, considering Big did tracks with Ma$e, but that's what Deal says. Maybe he's just making the point that Biggie was just a huge Cam'ron fan. Then again, he also says Big and company used to clown on Ma$e—formerly known as Murda Ma$e—for his name change.

"He said, 'Yo, how you change the nigga Ma$e? He was Murda Ma$e, now he just Ma$e. You know what I'm saying?" Deal says in the video. "They used to get on him like that, you know what I'm saying? They used to get on him like that. So, he felt Cam'ron was a better rapper and he had signed Cam'ron—or I thought he'd signed Cam'ron."

Obviously, Killa Cam didn't end up on any of those classic Bad Boy songs with Biggie, but we'd say he did just fine either way. Check out what else Deal's got to say about Biggie in the video below. The bit about Cam'ron and Ma$e comes up at the 28:50 mark.
