‘Dark Divas’ Show At The Seasons On Saturday: Bringing The Harlem Renaissance To Yakima

A song that you will likely hear played at every wedding you attend is some version of Etta James' "At Last". That's no mere coincidence -- Etta James is considered one of the classic crooners of big band/jazz-era music.

The Seasons Performance Hall is bringing an anticipated new show to Yakima this Saturday (Oct. 8): Dark Divas, an all-ages show sponsored by the YWCA! Get your tickets here.

The Dark Divas show features a performance troupe from the Seattle area who have banded together, singing some of the biggest hits from legendary divas who helped shape the Harlem Renaissance music scene. Dark Divas has held previous performances at the swanky Seattle venue, The Triple Door! This prestigious group includes Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, and many more who got their start in Harlem's Apollo Theater and The Cotton Club. This show will be like having a piece of the Harlem Renaissance coming to Yakima for one memorable night!
