Guess it's indeed time to put one of pop's biggest feuds to bed: Christina Aguilera says she'd love to reconnect with Britney Spears, and has directly appealed: "I'd love to see you, girl!"

During an interview on TRL Monday (June 18), Aguilera and host Sway Calloway began to talk about a famous early-aughts TRL photo shoot that featured some of the era's big-time acts like Destiny’s Child, Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Limp Bizkit, Tyrese Gibson, N’Sync, Goo Goo Dolls and, of course, Spears.

“We need to do another one of those. When are we gonna have that?” Aguilera joked. “But now there would be like new people to add. And some no longer.”

But which would she want to see the most?

“I can’t lie. It’s always good to see Britney," she said. "It’s always good to see her. I’d love that."

"I’d love to see you girl," Aguilera added directly to camera.

While the origin of the pop stars' feud isn't an obvious one (fans believe it was largely a matter of early-career competition), Aguilera threw some stark shade Spears' way when she told Blender in 2003 that Spears wasn't easy to work with during rehearsal for a 2003 MTV Video Music Awards performance with Madonna.

"Every time I tried to start a conversation with her—well, let's just say she seemed nervous the whole time. She seems to me like a lost little girl, someone who desperate needs guidance," Aguilera said.

Spears retaliated in the same magazine just weeks later, noting: "A lost girl? I think it's probably the other way around. I can't believe she said that about me."

She also relayed a story about Aguilera in which she tried to paint the "Dirrty" singer as two-faced.

"She comes up to me in a club in front of all these people and tries to put her tongue down my throat!" Spears claimed. "I say, 'It's good to see you,' and she goes, 'Well, you're not being real with me.' I was like, 'Well, Christina, what's your definition of real? Going up to girls and kissing them after you haven't seen them for two years?'...When someone has been rude to you so many times, it's like, 'You know what, Christina, I'm really not about the fake anymore.'"

Aguilera later slammed Spears' quick marriage to Kevin Federline, noting "It looks like she got [that engagement ring] at QVC...I know Britney. She's not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way" during an Us Weekly interview.
