Cellphone Charging Stations are the New Best Thing about Current Outdoor Events

There are plenty of events that state the usual stuff to get people out of the house. Stuff like live music, beer garden, food vendors -- and they're all very important. What caught my eye about this year's Downtown Summer Nights was the fact that US Cellular is providing a cellphone charging station. It's exactly what you think it is. A place where you can charge your phones so you can take more photos and videos without the worry of running out of battery.

We've all been there before, right? Even if we show up with a fully charged phone, we start taking photos and maybe a few videos. We share some on social media. We call home to make sure the kids are doing fine. All of this adds up in battery life and, before you know it, you phone is out of power. It's such an empty, helpless feeling.

Thanks to our friends at US Cellular, we're going to have charging stations every Thursday night at Downtown Summer Nights all summer long. Thanks, guys! I'm sure you'll save a lot of people from anxiety with this service. Best of all, it's free! Free to charge your phone and we have people to "baby-sit" your phone while it's being charged.
