Aunt and Uncle Day Is a Good Time to Say Thank You

Growing up I would spend weeks during the summer at my Aunt Jo Jo's in Sequim, my Aunt Bonnie's in Chehalis and my Aunt Sharon's in Idaho. My uncles Tim and Dan would take us kids fishing and camping. They taught me how to ride a three-wheeler and a dirt bike.

As a child of divorced parents, these things -- which may seem like nothing to some people -- meant the world to me and helped shape who I am today.

So, in honor of Aunt and Uncle Day, I want to tell my aunts and uncles thank you. I love you all and hope that I can be that positive influence on my nieces and nephews like you all were for me.
