Today (April 10) is "National Siblings Day," and my brother is the best. He is really my best friend. I don't see him very often, but when we do talk, it is like we still live together. He is also the strongest person that I know.
When I was listening to the Bee Gees, Eddie Rabbit and Queen, he was listening to Hank Williams, Boston and Journey. Times have certainly changed, but how much I love my brother has not.

When we were growing up, we used to fight like crazy. We are five years apart. When his friends would come over he used to make me go in my room and leave them alone. I had a hard time doing it since I was so hyper!

I remember one time I went into his room with his friends and they were playing foosball. We were the only ones who had such a cool game. He was so mad at me he threw the foosball at me. It missed and hit the wall, bounced of the wall and then hit me right in the nose. It broke my nose. There was blood all over.

He meant to miss, but when it actually hit me, he freaked out. He felt so bad. He made his friends leave. I hated his guts that day, but after remembering that he made his friends leave because of me is really good sibling love.

Now he has seven children, five grandchildren and has worked underground in a mine for 35 years. He has had to put up with me his entire life.

He is my only sibling and I am damn proud of him.

How about you? How many siblings do you have?

Make sure you call them today and tell them how much you love them. You never know what might happen tomorrow.
