**The sale of all U.S. tractors was up 13% in July compared to the same month last year. According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," for the seven months in 2018, nearly 145,000 tractors were sold which compares to almost 135,000 last year, a 7% increase.

July combine sales were up 37% for the month. Sales of combines for the year total 2,571 compared to 2,078 in 2017, up 24%.

**Support in farm country appears to be slipping for President Trump. According to a new Farm Futures poll, one in seven farmers who voted for the President in 2016 would not vote for him today.

Agriculture.com reports the escalating trade war was the leading cause among the staunchly Republican group, but a majority still back him: 60% now Versus 75% in 2016.

Three fourths of farmers identify themselves as Republicans and 10% say they are Democrats, roughly the same as the 75-11 farm country split in 2016.

**CoBank, a cooperative bank serving agribusinesses and Farm Credit associations throughout the U.S., announced a $100,000 gift to the American Red Cross to support wildfire relief efforts across the country.

More than 100 wildfires have burned more than 1.6 million acres across 14 states, including Alaska, California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The grant includes $5,000 specifically earmarked toward California’s Carr fire to match a local contribution by Golden State Farm Credit, one of CoBank’s affiliates in California.
